After getting some rest at the end of January, we are back in the vineyards and the cellars

In the vineyards...

We have almost finished the pruning...

Well only if the weather gets better! After 2 warm (too warm) months of december and January, winter is finally here but with a siberian cold..
With temperatures reaching -10° or even -15° during the night it was impossible to work in the vineyards without damaging the vinestocks (and our fingers!). So we are back inside, keeping warm with a glass of champagne and preparing for the salon des Chapagnes the vigneron in New York, Chicago and London.

In the cellars...

The wines from the harvest 2011 are slowly ageing in the cellars. We are checking them regularly and are beginning to think of the "assemblages" .

They will be decided after several discussions (sometimes arguing?) between Alain and Yveline. This is also a ggod opportunity to share ideas with our oenologue, family and firends.

If you visit our cellars before April do not hesitate to ask us to taste our "vins clairs" as it is always surprising to discover that chapagne is first a still wine!
